What can I do with this item? I bought it so I could "alter" it...any suggestions? (charity shop donation is an acceptable suggestion)

    Depends what you want to put in there, but looks like it could be painted and distressed and pretty papers put in the base, then add any embellies you like!

    Kind of like a 3d scrapbook page, you could put some nice rub ons on the inside of the glass. in the SU catallogue I had they had one of those deep pic frames with rub ons on the glass and it looked really cool

    I tend to agree with Kathy - it shouts crackle glaze out to me!!! I would paint & distress it, decoupage in areas then crackle glaze all over and further add 3D varnished or distressed painted embellies in one corner - its a gorgeous little cupboard, look forward to seeing it completed :)

    You could even add a touch of gilt to it for a little luxury :)
